It's Sunday

And gray as cement out there, the temperature is dropping like a rock and I just woke up from a two-hour nap after sleeping approximately ten hours last night.
Sleeping sickness?
Whatever.
I'm drinking espresso out of a pint mason jar, trying to wake up because I'm going to Monticello to read for another play. I have no idea if I want a part in it or not. I haven't even looked at it.
But what the hell? A girl's gotta have a reason to get out of bed and going to the Opera House is as good a one as any.
Bundle up, babies. It's cold outside.

  1. I scoff at what you consider to be cold - I wear bermuda shorts at the temperatures you consider to be cold.
If I get snowed in tomorrow, I'll post some pictures of what real cold looks like.

  2. It's is cold, sorry MOB, but from going from seventy to freezing in a day with crazy moist wind, I don't think our bodies have time to acclimate to it all, which makes it feel extra cold!
Anyway, I plan to bundle up when I go to work (boo!), and I hope you have lots of fun at that reading, even if you do decide to not be a part of it.

  3. I won't tell you what the weather is right now in the frozen tundra, but, to be fair, I remember living in Florida and feeling cold when it got damp and chilly.

  4. MOB- I think you would be most uncomfortable in those Bermuda shorts today. It's that wet cold and it's blowing. It gets in your bones. But yes, I admit, we're wusses when it comes to cold. This is why we live in Florida.

HoneyLuna- you are right! No acclimation possible.

Rachel- How many times this week do I have to say to you: HOW DO YOU DO IT??!!

  8. Goodness gracious, Ms. Fleur and Ms. Maggie May- I certainly did not think I looked good at all in that picture, merely trying to wake up on a cold Sunday afternoon, but thank you!
