Lagniappe

After examining him, the doctors have given August an antibiotic ointment to use and he will be seeing an ophthalmologist on Monday.

Pretty much what we expected. But at least we know he's not in terrible danger. I think he will heal up nicely and all will be well.

Adventures in parenting.

  3. Oh my, I was sorry to hear about his accident but I'm grateful to know it is not too bad. These kids just have to keep us on our toes don't they! My grandson was in and out of the ER quite a bit growing up but he's made it to 19 come February. I hope all goes well with August and the ophthalmologist!

    1. My brothers were at the ER about once a month for awhile there. Craziness! And I took my kids in a few times too. Always scary.

  6. I figure ALL parenting is an adventure until those critters grow up and hair over and then we wish children of their own on them! [Diabolical cackling!]

  7. So glad to hear it's better than we feared. Some kids just do stuff like this! they survive fine, their parents not so much.

    1. Parents age faster than non-parents do. I am convinced.
