A Little Bit Cranky This Morning

Turning off my alarm I knocked a pair of earrings off where I had set them before I fell asleep last night.
A favorite pair.
They are somewhere under that bed or the little dresser or the vanity. In the dust.
It's going to be a long day.

Wait! Wait!
With the aid of the Tinkerbelle flashlight I just found them.
And a lot of dust.
Crisis averted.
Dust is winning, though.

And could I please just have ONE more dream about living in a house that needs complete cleaning out and repairing? Could I? Please?

Thanks.

  1. Glad that you found the earrings. I've had those dreams too. I read that seeing an old, run-down house in your dream, represents your old beliefs, attitudes and how you used to think or feel. A situation in your current life may be bringing about those same old attitudes and feelings. Alternatively, the old house may symbolize your need to update you mode of thinking. To dream that your house is damaged, indicates your waking concerns about the condition of your house. Who knows? I don't. But then I do dream about overflowing toilets sometimes and that tells me that I have a lot of pent up shit.

  2. Syd- I'm glad I found the earrings too. I love them. But yes- I do realize what my dreams probably mean. I think I need to clear out a LOT of stuff in my life. Inside stuff and outside stuff too. And it is slightly cheering in that I enjoy the cleaning in my dreams. I enjoy getting rid of those things.
LOVE the overflowing toilet dream and interpretation. I have never once, as far as I can remember, had that particular dream. But I do know that I have had a couple of periods in my life where I "lost" my voice and I know it was because I had things I needed to say and could not.

  3. Good morning. I'm cranky too. Been having nightmares lately, creepy, scary stuff. Don't know what's going on. I think it's because I'm considering dating men. It's totally freaking me out. Even though it's what I'd like.

Drinking my coffee and reading you makes me calm down. Glad you found your earrings.

  4. Bethany- The prospect of dating ANYONE would give me the freak-outs. But...sounds like an adventure!

  5. The house is always you. That is all.

Hmm, unless, next time there's an earring crisis, you put a pair of tights (um, pantyhose?) over the end of the hoover and just suck everything up, then fish the earrings out of the DIY earring net you've made.

  6. Jo- What? A house can't just be a house? What's a chicken? I'm kidding.
And I have NO Hoovering machine. None. Which could explain the dust. But that's a great idea. If I had one.

  10. Glad that the Tinkerbell flashlight came to the rescue of finding your earrings. I found the pair I couldn't find after my return from my trip back in early October. I had given up and then this past weekend I found them under some magazines while....cleaning my desk...yes...I too don't get around to cleaning very often.
