I completely understand that without ants, life on this planet as we know it would not even be remotely possible.
But WHY do the damn motherfuckers have to be so ferocious?
I was handling some bags of leaves in the garden for mulching and suddenly I realized I was on fire and was covered by the little red demons.
It was only due to the fact that the church folks were outside that I didn't strip off my clothes in the yard. I do have some pride left. Not much. But enough to make it to the kitchen before I got naked.
I've had a shower, taken Benadryl, and now I feel I must sleep.
Sometimes working in the dirt is far more pain than pleasure. Thankfully, that is not usually the case. And thankfully, there is Benadryl.
Benadryl---second only to Nyquil on my 'must always have on hand' list. We're wintering in the Sarasota area, and have already been warned of those nasty red ants. Hope the Benadryl brings you relief (not to mention a nice nap).

ReplyDeletegoodness, I hope the Benedryl helped. those ants ARE ferocious and I feel for you. Hope you can sleep deeply....... and wake up welt free! I didn't have ants today, but our house is under siege from Firebugs. Try vacuuming hundreds every half hour from the ceiling beams............ and then have your washing machine go belly up in mid laundry. I guess I would prefer my dilemna to yours, overall?

ReplyDeleteI hate it when the little fuckers hide like that and then swarm you waiting till you are covered before biting in unison. I've stripped off my clothes more than one in the yard.
ReplyDeleteUgh--fire ants are the worst here and eat us up at times. I get blisters from them that itch like no tomorrow.
