What If?

Yesterday my hit-counter thingie rolled over a hundred-thousand.
I was thinking last night in the shower- what if every one of those hits represented a dollar in my pocket? What would I be doing now?

It took me less than a nano-second to know.

The exact same thing I am doing now.
Gathering roses. Gathering eggs.
Waiting for my grandson to get here.

Writing my heart out about it all.

Thank-you, always, for visiting, for sharing your hearts, for being part of my life.

Love....Ms. Mon

  2. I am glad that you wouldn't change. I might buy a bigger boat but that's about it. One can dream, right?

  5. Fab picture... I think getting passive income from your popularity is a perfectly brilliant concept!

If I were you, I'd do it in a minute. You do everything you do anyway, only Google ads will pay you for each click. Nothing wrong with that.

    Thanks for all you do.

  7. That might be my favorite photo you've ever posted (besides, of course, for Owen). Why don't you make some prints of it and sell them to those hundred thousand viewers? I'd buy one. I mean it.

  9. Ms. Moon, you should get paid for the quality of the words you write, and the truths you share with us.
Seriously, the Shitmydadsays guy on twitter has a book and a sitcom pilot starring William Shatner as the dad (not my first choice - should be Ed Asner!) but I'm just saying all he has is ridiculous one liners I could collect from my mother in law, in fact I think they should meet for either a hookup or a battle to the death! But your writing has heart and soul and a narrative thread and characters and themes and heart and soul. I'm just saying if you wrote a book it would be on my shelf, and lots of others. Or if you put ads in the corner of your blog I wouldn't think any differently of you. If I could get paid to sit here reading, thinking and responding, inbetween photodocumenting my day and curating my life, well I'd be doing it too. For now, I'm going to settle on the satisfaction that I just planted a fresh new little garden and I hope to be eating my own greans soon, thanks to your inspiration. That's worth something, right?
As to what to do with lots of money, I don't know what I'd do. Maybe see if those Greek islands are as lovely as they seem, or wander some heathery heights in Ireland, but I think I'll just stay on the land I'm working for a while longer, I've got sturdy roots right now, and a life line to open hearts, bless yours for being one of them. Love.
(word verification is sainer, which is what you make me, just spelled special!)

I would give a dollar every single time I clicked on blessourhearts.
It's so nice to know you would be doing the same exact thing.
That is marvelous if you ask me.

  14. Lois- No. I thank YOU. Really and truly.

Syd- I just want to know where my next iMac is coming from. Other than that- I am covered.

May- My life is RICH. I love you, baby.

Michelle- Not as much as I am.

Ms. Fleur- But does ANYONE click on a google ad? Really?
And thank you for all YOU do, sweet neighbor.

Nicol- You've been with me a LONG time and I've been reading you that long too. Sweetness.

Elizabeth- Oh. I seriously doubt that there are more than a hundred or so regular readers. You like that picture? That makes me happy.

Mr. Shife- It just charms me to pieces that you read this blog. I mean it!

Mel- Heart, soul, and hot flashes. That should be the title of this blog. I swear. You're so precious! And you know- Shit My Dad Says is very funny. But William Shatner? Really?

Angie M- I like that comparison. I do.

Ms. Bastard-Beloved- Well, it's been almost three years, you know.
And I'll bet Pioneer Woman gets like a hundred thousand hits a DAY. Seriously.

Bethany- Nah. That would be ridiculous. But let's see- if everyone gave a penny that would be like tens and tens of dollars. Which would be cool, too. Ha!
