Things Going On In Lloyd This Evening

Pretty darn sweet.

The boys are here for the night and Lily is home now with her darling Magnolia. Jessie and Vergil are coming over tomorrow with August so the men can work on the roof again. There will most definitely be pancakes tomorrow morning and bacon, of course. My next door neighbor dropped by with her new dog and we discussed Jack, whom she is also feeding.
"Where did he come from?" we ask each other and then we shrug. Her newest pet is a giant yellow lab who was so affectionate towards the boys that Owen named him "Licky."

Bread is rising, the fire is ready to be lit to cook the traditional Steak-Monster Steaks. All of the ingredients for purple cows are in the house.
Life in Lloyd is good tonight.
Now if Gibson will only stay in his bed...

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. I am going to be one of those awful people that will say that one day Gibson will be in his own bed and you will miss him. My daughter used to sleep with me and I couldn't wait to have my own space. Now she is 18 and spends more time at her boyfriend's house than at home. Oh, how I miss the days of my little girl beside me. And she could kick!

  2. Birdie- Ah, my love- you forget- I've already gone through the sweetness and kicks with four of my own. At my age, I just want to be able to sleep. Although cuddling with Gibson is one of life's great pleasures.

  3. I wish you could bottle that baby smell and send it to me. I had a hard time getting my boy to stay in his bed. It took years.

  4. Ha! That last line about Gibson cracked me up. What a fun evening and sleepover you all will have.

  5. I thought of the roofing going on when I picked out those toys. I'm glad the boys like them and that you do too. I appreciate seeing them and the littlest ones on your blog so much. The least I could do is show some real appreciation:). I love Magnolia's little mouth. There is always some cute little feature that stands out. I hope you all sleep well tonight.

  6. My children are different degrees of scared of dogs. My fault. I don't like it, but then again I won't go out with them to search out dogs either.

  7. That's sad, Mwa :( And doubly depressing, because their fear puts them in more danger around dogs than if they learned how to be relaxed and careful around them.

However, I have taught my chilren spider-fear, so I can't talk.

Mary, Dade came and slept with me last night because his Dad wasn't here and I knew if he went to sleep on his own he'd wake up and come and wake me up... and I have a very big bed.

He slept great, not sure I did, though. Woke up with weird dreams, too hot, horrified to find it was only 7.30 :)
