Haiku My Heart, The Heart

If blessed in much love
There is no way around it
The heart will break; bleed

Rebecca at http://corazon.typepad.com/recuerda_mi_corazon/ calls us on Fridays to haiku our hearts.
Join in if you please.

  1. Hmm.

I recently read that for people who work out, muscles develop by tearing and regrowing together.

And the heart is a muscle too... so it makes sense that love must hurt.

  2. Maybe I've mentioned this before, if not here, then somewhere. I have recently developed an affinity for the Saints, especially the artwork as seen in paintings and sculptures. When your page opened, I was drawn in totally!
There is also a greater connection as I had an experience earlier this week that involved a Native American Spiritual Elder. Itv was a healing ceremony and my own heart was involved.
This haiku has special meaning for me. Yes, the heart does bleed, it must, sometimes, to cleanse and rejuvenate. The pain is needed when your thoughts remember another time.
It is a connection. It's good stuff!

    Peace.

  10. Oh the eyes of the saints - so otherworldly and yet knowing. Knowing the fullness and breaking of hearts.

  11. Yes. Love makes us vulnerable to pain. Yet to live a life without it is unthinkable. Thanks for writing your heart into these few words.

  13. I haven't stopped in in awhile and OMGosh MM, look at that BIG BOY Owen!!! He is so big and handsome!! It should come as no surprise, really, since Baby C is the same age, and also just getting WAY too big too fast :( It really isn't fair how fast they grow.

I hope all is well with you - I am going to try to do a little catching up with you some day, and maybe even post a little update of my own with a recent pic of the boys.

    Take care!!!

  14. Jo- Makes perfect sense.

Spadoman- As always, you get to the very core (heart) of it.
    Thank-you.

Syd- Tough as hell, that piece of muscle.

Ramesh- I agree. A broken heart lets more love in.

Elizabeth- I felt love pour into my heart today when I went to the post office. Thank-you.

    jean- Always.

Boonie- Tender as a widow's heart. That's what my grandfather used to say as he cut the roast! You have a nice weekend, too!

    controlling- Agreed.

    paper-n-soul- I'm glad you like.

Meri- Artists do make them look that way, don't they?

    Leslie- Completely unthinkable.

Ms. Bastard-Beloved- Love you too! And you know it!

justme- Glad you stopped by, honey! Our babies are not babies any more, are they?
