Magic

It was a beautiful day with Owen. At one point he discovered dust motes and was enchanted and tried to catch them. I was telling Jessie about this and she said that she remembered the rainbows from the hanging crystals in the sun room of the house we used to live in when she was a baby.
"It was magic," she said.
Do you know how lucky I am to have a baby around to remind me of the magic of dust motes in the air, illuminated by the late afternoon sun shining through a window?
And all day the hummingbirds sipped from the fire spike in the back yard and the feeder I have set up on the kitchen porch.
Yes. It was a beautiful day.

  1. See... the most simple and beautiful delights for a child are yours too. I love the image of a crystal casting rainbows.

  2. It's the child's eye for detail that helps to remind us of such beauties and makes the world a better place in which to live, Ms Moon.

Thanks for these beautiful word images.
