Growing Things In My Yard, Easter Sunday

Wild azalea. Actually, the blossoms are waning but it's still pretty.

Knockout Rose on the little kitchen porch. So. Technically not in the yard.

Clematis. First time it's ever bloomed after two years of being in the ground.

Look closely. Baby frog. Cuteness factor through the damn roof.

Chicken coop! See that gorgeous pecky cypress door? We found it in our old barn. Original hinges. Mr. Moon is doing such a good job on this coop. It's growing every day. Yesterday he and Big Lou spent hours out there, running power tools, banging nails and giggling. Yes. Real men giggle.

Blueberries. I know. It's hard to tell. And that's Dolly, sniffing them. Please someone, come give that dog a bath.

Pretty little heirloom rose which I would tell you the name of but I don't know it. Sad. I know.

My grandbaby! I know. You can't really see the child, but trust me. That baby is in there.

Happy Ovulation Day! (That's what HoneyLuna said to me when she called this morning.)
Now really, I must go! The children are here! Time to dye eggs and peel shrimp!

  2. Seems your spirits have lifted. I'm glad. Your house looks very inviting. Maybe it's that porch calling my name? Have fun dyeing those eggs (clothing optional for those over the age of 18..wink, wink).

All This Trouble- My spirits HAVE lifted. Indeed. This porch could be calling your name. And everyone kept their clothes on to dye the eggs.
Except the chickens. They were naked.

Maggie May- Happy Easter to YOU, dear!

    Petit Fleur- Indeed!

BlackEyedP- Porsha? Sounds like a great name to me.

  9. Ms. Jo- Thank-you, my Irish friend! I am sorry your clematis isn't blooming. It may yet surprise you.

Lady Lemon- I was totally shocked to see that bloom. It's mighty pretty, isn't it? And so is Lily. I agree.
