If It's Wrong To Love Larry David

I don't want to be right.

  1. It's not wrong, it's just strange. Do you love him or the character he plays?

  2. I just love his show. My husband hates it. It's like he pushes every envelope of society three steps farther than anyone else would dream of.
I realize it's a strange and possibly embarrassing pleasure to have.

  3. Thank you for the linkage..How do I do that? I also like Larry, and I ditto you, my husband hates him too.

  4. I think men feel threatened by L. David's character in Curb but I'm not sure quite why.
Okay. To do links. Huh. I can do it but I'm not sure I can tell it. You have to go to "customize" and then to "lay out." Then to "add a page element" and then to "link list."
Just meander around until you find it. If I can do it, anyone can.

  6. Larry David is hardly a reason to come back to the US. I believe you can buy the whole Curb Your Enthusiasm series on DVD if you can figure out how to get that to Mexico, Ms. L.
Hey! I read Twelve Mile Limit this past weekend on the island. I enjoyed it! Did he ask your permission before he used you and your business so blatantly in his story?

  7. Nope, he did not! Notice his little disclaimer in the front of his books. It's PURELY ACCIDENTAL that there was a Mrs. Post running the Pelican Post Motel in Bradenton Beach. ;)

  8. Huh. You'd think he'd know better than that, being as smart as he is and all.
Oh well. It's sort of flattering but it's also sort of lazy on his part, don't you think?
He's one of those writers that if his main character falls in love, that woman is bound to be dead before the final chapter. That always happened on Miami Vice too. And Bonanza! Remember that?
Someone should do a psychological study about this phenomenon.

  9. My husband loves loves loves Larry David. He has even dreamt that he and Larry David were pals and Larry liked his jokes. I mean, he LOVES Larry David. I get too uncomfortable watching that show!

  10. Libbyllama_ that's just like in my relationship, only flipped. My husband is so uncomfortable watching that show. Me? I just laugh. Okay, I've never dreamed that LD and I were friends, but yeah, I'd have lunch with him.
