Not At My Best

Gibson is here and I am being a terrible MerMer. Unsurprisingly I am having a bit of a reaction to the flu shot. I think I'm just a hyper-reactor. A little while after he got here I asked if anyone would mind if I laid down for a little nap and about an hour and a half later I woke up.
He's playing Wii with his Boppy and he's fine but I had intended to play games and do stuff with him.
Maybe tomorrow morning.
I am, however, getting his meatball supper ready and have picked salad greens. Sourdough ready to go into the oven. Hopefully, that will make up for some of it.

Bah.

Well. Life goes on. And so shall we.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. I wondered what a MerMer was? But I get it now. Hope the flu shot recovery passes quickly.

    1. "MerMer" is what my grandchildren call me. My oldest grandchild gave me the name. Funny thing is, that's what my younger brother called me when he was a child.

  2. You're entitled to take care of yourself! I expect the two men had a good time. You're not obliged to moderate everything, after all.

  4. Mary, my flu shot kicked me in the butt ay harder than my booster jab. You’re not a hyper reactor, you’re just human.

  5. Woman, he's there isn't he? He's having a good time, right? You're are entitled to listen to your body. He understands.

  7. I hope you feel better soon. When you do Gibson can come again. In the meantime he is enjoying this visit and you should rest if that helps.

    1. It's Owen's turn to spend the night next! We are doing these overnights in turn nowadays. And Levon and August need a night over again soon too. We could have grandkids over every weekend night forever, I guess.

  8. You could also just be bloody exhausted from all the work you did this week getting ready for Thanksgiving. I'm sure Gibson didn't mind.

  10. I'm sure Gibson is adequately entertained by Boppy. Do not feel guilty, especially if you pull together that meatball supper. Take care of yourself! Feel better!

  12. I am very sure Gibson understands. Just being under your roof is likely peace and happiness for him, a corner of solitude in a cherished place. We all need that sometimes.

  13. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better now. Women aren't really "allowed" to get sick are they, we just have to keep soldiering on!
