This Too

The sun is out again, the courts overruled the tyrant, the azaleas are in bloom, I am going to make soup today.

For the moment, for this very moment, as the cardinals negotiate for room at the feeder and the neighborhood roosters crow their morning announcements, all is well.

  4. If it weren't for soup, nature and furry animal posts on facebook and lovely blog spaces like this, I'd already be insane. Good lord, your azaleas are amazing. We have such a dingy winter here.
I saw on your last post that Owen is still struggling with the team sports. My boy did too. It was hard for his super tall dad, but it was just too overwhelming to be in the group on the court for him. He would practice, play horse and shoot 3 pointers all day, but hated the actual games and practice. He found his niche in golf, and I wonder if Owen will find a sport he is good at that doesn't have the sensory overload of a team, like tennis, swimming or golf. He is brave for trying, tho. and I hope he finds his groove with a sport he loves.
Thanks for your lovely posts and photos, they help keep the crazy away. xo

    1. I think it's really hard for dads and grandads who loved team sports to be able to understand that not all of us are meant for teams sports. Luckily, I believe that Owen's father and grandfather are understanding. And golf is awesome! Those guys can make a ton of money!

I was going to say that I love soup and eat it almost every day. So comforting. And it's helped me lose weight. The perfect food. I would prefer bacon to be the perfect food but, you can't win them all.

    1. Your last sentence made me laugh so much.
God. If only bacon WERE the perfect food. I mean, it is but it isn't.
