Saturday Morning

Although the hard freezes we got a few days ago nipped the toes of the camellias, turning the blossoms already full bloomed into sad, brown things, the buds appear to have been unharmed.
I just can't get enough of this variety and I am glad I planted two of them.

There is a metaphor here and it's so obvious that I needn't even remark on it.

But I will say that when something comes along which is entirely beautiful, gather as much of it to you as you possibly can.
And then cherish the hell out of it.

  1. Yes, exactly. Beautiful blooms, I am envious. We are months away from first buds, but at least I have my violet :)

  2. It's warmed up to 8 here in MN today. No flowers in sight. I am glad for yours. And the beauty I can gather every day when I visit.

  3. I think this is how most of us get by each day. Little things that could easily be looked over. We see. We start again.

  4. I so enjoy your blog about your family. I live in Montana and we have about 3 feet of snow on the ground so I enjoy the flower pictures too. Aren't grandbabies the bomb?

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
