This Now, More Later (Perhaps)

It's a special day and so I've plugged in the little white lights on the hallway altar which, as you can see, has gotten a bit over-crowded with camellias. That's because it's going to freeze again and better I should snip them and bring them in for a few days of glory than to leave them out on their mama-bushes to turn brown in the frost.

Anyway, it's a special day because my Owen is coming.

As I told my friends I ran into the other day at the New Leaf, my life is good. I hang out here in Lloyd, work in the yard, write, play with my chickens and wait for my grandson to be delivered. Huzzah!

And last night I dreamed I was doing a sort of head-stand yoga meditation practice in my chicken coop with Miss Betty beside me and well, I don't even want to THINK about what that means but I am just going to accept the fact that chickens are a grand part of my life and my path and let that one go.

So, Owen and I will be feeding the chickens in the cold morning and we will be playing and cuddling and I have my hair in two braids so he can grab on without hurting me and I am wearing my new (Goodwill) pink cashmere sweater and I think it's going to be a good day.

I have another thing I want to write about (perhaps) and will do so later (perhaps) should the boy take a decent nap.

Just wanted to say good morning, hope all is well there wherever it is you are and there will be more later. Perhaps.

  2. Every time you mention your dreams, I think of that one I had where I was at May's apartment (I guess? That's what I was associating with that room) and you were there, cooking me some eggs, and I sat at the table with Mr Moon. It was very strange, but it was nice :)

  3. Good morning! I'm eating ice and entering data. It's not digging ditches, but it puts beans on the table. Kiss that Owen boy for me!

  5. how i love your altar. your virgin so primitive and beautifully carved. your candle light and the promise of petals whispering spring...
the protection you offer. the shelter of your heart. and how you take life in and breath deeply, embrace the very core of each day as it unfolds.

the way you take us along with you..
    so tenderly it almost hurts.

    warmly,

  7. It sounds like hte makings of a pretty grand day. Pink cashmere, no less. I recently bought a green argyle sweater made of cashmere-not at the goodwill, but still a steal at $20. I feel so decadent!

  11. Doing yoga with the chicken harem watching you? That is a funny dream. I wonder what it means. The camellias are beautiful. They are my favorite flower, you know. And an inherited part of my name, which is a mouthful actually, and so difficult for Americans to pronounce: Bianca Angelique Camellia. When we came to the states nobody seemed to be able to say any of them, so I became plain Angie. It's a good thing though that I wasn't named Angelique Bianca Camellia, or my initials would have been ABC.

  12. Deb- You are welcome.

SJ- Well, it could happen although May is a better cook than I am.

    DTG- I did!

    Ms. Bastard- I did!

    Rebecca- Aw. Dang. Thanks.

    Steph- I'm glad.

Kori- What I love about Goodwill cashmere (besides the price) is that I can wear it guiltlessly under my overalls and get spit up on it and not worry one iota. Yes! Decadent thrift. And so warm.

Jill- In my dream I made a point of doing my yoga thing where there was no poop.

Rebecca- Y'all are going to have to give me last initials or something. I get confused, too! I've always thought it would be awesome to have a bed with ivy growing up the bedposts. Good goal!

Bethany- WHAT???!!! This all sounds sucky. I hope things calm down. I would hate for you to have to sell your house.

Angie M- What a gorgeous name! I would MAKE people say it. Damn! And I think it would be cool to have the initials ABC. My own initials are MGM which I have always liked.
