The Grand Weekend Has Begun

In the book I'm listening to by Ann Tyler, she speaks of the way children "hurtle themselves into the day."

Yes. They do.

And now, ten minutes later he's eating one of the eggs we found in the nest.
Yes. I cooked it.

Big weekend. Big boys. Big fun.

Let's just hope I survive.

Happy Friday, y'all.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. Enjoy the heck out of those children.

The Owen story of covering you with a blanket and bringing a lamp for reading was SO SWEET. Dear child.

  5. I love that quote about how children "hurtle themselves into the day." It is so true. Any day I spend at least a part of with my grandchildren is a good day. I always enjoy when you write about your grandkids.

  10. Do you remember when (back in the day) you, too, hurled yourself into the day?

Taking care of my great-granddaughter everyday, who is 16 moths old, has put a new twist on mornings. The day hurls itself into me. But i just sing the Mickey Mouse song, "hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog..." and the energy comes flowing in. I only have to sing it every 20 minutes to keep the flow open...sometimes more often. There are times I have to replace 'diggity' with a more inappropriate adjective but I do that under my breath!

    Have fun with grandkids!
