No Peace Today

Oh my god. I have to get the fuck out of Lloyd this morning. The railroad crews are cutting down something (sounds like a Sequoia) down by the crossing which is practically in my yard and two chain saws are involved in that like a damn chainsaw duet and now the guy next door has HIS Husqvarna out, chaining away and there's an engine that's probably attached to some large log-moving thing and men are shouting and let me just say- NOT PEACEFUL!

Luckily, I have been invited to run errands with Lily and then a lunch is planned with various of my offspring. I stayed up way too late reading last night and this morning Maurice joined me in the bed for an almost-improper snuggle. She has her winter coat (poor thing) and is just a soft ball of furry luxury.

So that's the news from Lloyd this morning where I don't know what the hell is going on but I feel certain that manly men wearing helmets are involved.

Happy Friday, y'all.

Love...Ms. Moon

    I, too, detest noise.

  3. Sometimes I think there should be one or two days a week designated for noise-making machinery and the rest should be quiet. We have blowers going every single day in our neighborhood, even though they're technically illegal.

  4. We've had the leaf collection truck up and down the street lately. Grrr
    Hope you enjoyed your lunch.

  5. I am the only one in the neighbourhood that rakes leaves by hand instead of using a leaf blower. I can't stand the noise even if I am making it.

  6. Angella- Me too! And most of them went to the fair together last night.

Desiree- Yes. There is noise and then there is NOISE! I was glad to escape most of it.

Elizabeth- I hate and detest leaf blowers. Hate them.

    CrystalChick- I did!

  7. Oh, my sympathy to you, Mary. Noise bothers me also. When I'm home alone, there is no TV, no radio, no music of any kind. The loudest noises are the fridge humming and the clocks ticking, and that's just how I like it.
