So glad he is home and I know how happy you both are to see each other after his trip. I wanted to let you know that I have not had a chance to comment the past couple of days, but I really appreciated your last post. As usual your writing was so honest and flowed. I can completely relate. I do snort a little when I read then someone is turning 40. I looked the best in my life at age 42 to 45 (well, better than my mid to late 30's). My theory is that the body gets a surge and peaks prior to that stupid, annoying drop in hormones. Then it all changes. At least that is how it worked for me. Now, if there is other, good shit going on in one's life when the body is changing, that is the key, and what I would have focused on if I could redo age 40, to be ready for the next decade.
60 does suck. I know, my body odometer just crossed over that magic mark. I suppose it beats the alternative. That's the only good thing I can say about it.
I am glad. I know that you are glad too.
ReplyDeleteHuzzah! and tenks gott.
