This is going to be a very, very short post because that boy in the picture who was six years old when it was taken, is here tonight at the advanced age of 11 years old, to spend the night with Mer and Bop and I have not got my ducks in a row as to supper (spaghetti and meat balls) or the bed being made up for him. But I have a good excuse which is that I went to town today so that our beautiful Melissa could cut six inches of my hair off and then I had to go to the store and also, we have a small flea problem so I had to wash ALL the bedding in the house including guilts and so forth and well, that's the story.
Got it?
And then my hair was finished being cut and our dear friend Lindsey came in because she was the next appointment and there were more hugs and I-love-you's and honestly, I should get my hair cut more than once a year, not because I care how long it gets but because I'd get to see Melissa more often.
So that's the story and yes, the cats have now been treated for fleas and Maurice, under the influence of the flea pill, peed in a box holding half a barrel of raw peanuts costing forty dollars on the open market which really pissed off Mr. Moon and also, he has vacuumed the entire house, not trusting Ralph to get to all the possible flea eggs.
Phew!
One more picture of Melissa and a grandchild.
Happy Friday, mermer!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear lady!
Deleteyes, Melissa doesn't seem to be aging ONE DAY! How is that even possible! Enjoy your Mer/Boppy night with dear Gibson.......the sweet soul he is.....who loves your spaghetti and meal balls! Love to all and happy Martini Friday to you and Mr Moon!

Thanks, Susan. We had a nice time with our boy.
DeleteMelissa is a beautiful woman, for sure! And look how cute Gibson and Maggie were! OMG 😳 ... How they have grown!!
ReplyDeleteMelissa is the very essence of beautiful in all ways.
DeleteWeren't young Gibson and Maggie the cutest?
I recognised Gibson and Maggie right away. Melissa does look sweet and kind. If I had six inches cut off my hair there wouldn't be much left! It only grows to a few inches past my shoulders and then stops so I just leave it at that length.
ReplyDeleteI agree women should speak to women more, but I just don't seem to be able to open up that way. Everything is bottled inside and will go to my grave with me.
I am so sorry that you can't open up to other women. It is so good for the soul. But if you can't, you can't. I understand that.
DeleteI think hairdressers probably take a course in how to be a social worker too don't they. Very therapeutic!
ReplyDeleteHairdressers and bartenders- I think they hear it all.
Deleteuggggh on the fleas. we steam, spray white vinegar, steam again, spray odo-ban, and then sprinkle diatamaceous earth on stuff that can't be put in the dryer at high heat once it dries out from the steam/spray cycle. it has worked thus far but you all probably have republican type fleas..... xxalainaxx
ReplyDeleteWe have Florida fleas and they could be Republicans. Bloodsuckers, every one.
DeleteSeresto collars. They are expensive, but dang. They do work. I have not had a flea problem EVER when using them and they are effective for 8 months.
ReplyDeleteWell, this oral treatment seems to work pretty well. We just haven't stayed on top of it and the cats were way overdue.
DeleteUgh! Fleas! The bane of Floridian pet owners' existence!
ReplyDeleteYou got that right.
Deleteyeah, I need to get flea treatment for the dog and cat. and another way we are so alike, once a year haircut. although, I may try to maintain this one. or not.
ReplyDeleteYou may like that new short cut so much that you do maintain it.
