This ranks as the best news I’d read yesterday! I cried for each of your beautiful girls and roosters whose lives were so cruelly terminated before their time. We all got to know snd love them through your eyes and heart. I so hope Moana is able to live her own precious life until its natural end.
WOW! Moana, you good girl!

I know!
DeleteA beautiful Jumbo sized egg! Well done Moana. She must be happily settled enough to begin laying again.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. She may feel safer here.
DeleteHow great is that. All hail Moana, creator of breakfast!
ReplyDeleteAnd all-around sweetheart.
DeleteCrikey, that's HUGE!
ReplyDeleteIt's a big egg. I've seen bigger but it's pretty big.
DeleteWonderful. Now you are allowed to hope for more - normal sized - eggs once this monster is away. Did it contain 2 yolks?
ReplyDeleteI haven't cracked it yet. I doubt it has two yolks. Some hens just lay very large eggs.
DeleteDare we hope for more chickens in the future?
ReplyDeleteWe are in discussions.
DeleteA priceless gift, anymore...

True.
DeleteYay Moana! Maybe she just needed a new environment to form her eggs properly.
ReplyDeleteI think she was stressed out in town. Of course being fifty feet from the railroad track is so relaxing...
DeleteThat's a gorgeous egg, and these days, it's worth more than gold. I've seen you at Shadows & Light so I've come to visit.

Thank you, Janie! Nice of you to stop by.
DeleteThat is a big egg!
ReplyDeleteBigger than the average egg for sure.
DeleteStrange what simple things make your heart soarx
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much for this old woman.
