Well, Day 2 of the cold or whatever it is. I keep vaguely wondering if I should go get tested for Covid which I have never done once but let's face it- I have what both Jessie's and Lily's family had/has. And they have been tested and it's not covid.
Here's a text exchange between Hank and me from today.
Or, I could be overthinking once again and it's simply that my body finally fell prey to the cold bug that I've been exposed to repeatedly over the past few weeks. I wouldn't doubt that my husband is coming down with it too but he'll just deal with it and go to Tennessee anyway. That's the sort of guy he is. Me? I'm like, "Nope, can't go to lunch. I'm sick."

So that's been the day. Did a little mending, did a little laundry, did a little baking, did a little self-pitying. Dottie came back to the porch again but she didn't stay very long. She didn't have time to chat today, I guess. It's sad when your hen has a busier social life than you do. Then again, the social life of chickens appears to be never-ending and I could not deal with that.
