Here is a book I just read. If you are my age, I think you might like it too. Well written and it doesn't hesitate to muck around in the real things.
That, for me, is a positive review.
I like reading Linda Grant and anything about those who find themselves lost in post-hippy society -- such an innocent time that was. We have so many American and Canadian peace workers who came out to Lesotho or Botswana back then and stayed on, hanging to their ideals for dear life.
ooooo--I hadn't heard of it, but a rec from you is good enough for me.
ReplyDeleteThank you MM, her book "The Thoughtful Dresser" is very interesting too. - If you love clothes, it's very fun to find out why we do what we do.
ReplyDeleteI think I might like it even if I'm not your age just yet. Thanks for the recommendation.

ReplyDeleteOK, I have requested it! I had to get my library card and found a bag of pretzels on my journey. :-)
Elizabeth- I'm going to read more of her. She's not a fancy writer. Just a good one.
ReplyDeleteLiv- On my list!
