ooooo--I hadn't heard of it, but a rec from you is good enough for me.
Thank you MM, her book "The Thoughtful Dresser" is very interesting too. - If you love clothes, it's very fun to find out why we do what we do.
I think I might like it even if I'm not your age just yet. Thanks for the recommendation.
I like reading Linda Grant and anything about those who find themselves lost in post-hippy society -- such an innocent time that was. We have so many American and Canadian peace workers who came out to Lesotho or Botswana back then and stayed on, hanging to their ideals for dear life.
Usually Man Booker books are awesome. I am going right now online to my library and request it. BRB...OK, I have requested it! I had to get my library card and found a bag of pretzels on my journey. :-)
Elizabeth- I'm going to read more of her. She's not a fancy writer. Just a good one.Liv- On my list!Angie- I think you might like it. Mary LA- It's hard to even imagine such times, isn't it?Birdie- Multi-tasking! Yay!
i want to read this.
Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
