For Elizabeth. Silent Night. Holy Night.

For the post which inspired me to finally get the nativity down from upstairs and to set it up, go watch what Elizabeth posted here.
You may need a hankie. I did.

  2. Right back at you. I'm not an emoticon kind of girl, but there'd be a lot of smiles here if I were...

  4. Ms. Trouble- Slowly. Very slowly.

    Elizabeth- Thank-you, honey.

Syd- That IS Buddha. He likes to sit there with the holy family, being a holy guy himself.

  5. I LOVE having Buddha be a part of the Nativity. Who woulda thunk it? Why, our Ms. Moon, of course!

  7. lulumarie- Actually, it was Hank who first set Buddha down in the stable. He looks so perfect there that he is now part of the family when they show up for Christmas. But Hank gets credit.

Ms. Bastard-Beloved- Why don't you repost that post you did about your aunt. Or was it your grandmother? The Christmas one? It was SO great. Please?

  9. I think Buddha looks absolutely perfect. I think next year I'm going to get a Buddha statue and put a santa hat on him...what the hell.

  10. I love the Buddha as well. If I had another deity, I would add it. Actually, I saw a beautiful naked mother carved out of wood on TV yesterday, all breasts and round belly and perfect sticky-out roundness. I would add that. Pregnant goddess of abundance. For now, we will have to settle for the angel which Jack thinks is a fairy. Jesus and his fairy.

Actually, our baby Jesus stays in a drawer until Christmas. The wise men stay on a cupboard far away. Perhaps I should just bring Jesus out of his exile? I don't know. Perhaps though I should stop thinking about that kind of thing too much and figure out how to make Charlie sleep better.

We are all a work in progress.

    Lulumarie- Hank is amazing.

    Mel's Way- Great idea!

Mwa- Whatever. Make it YOURS! I love the fertility goddess idea. I shall look for one to add next year.
