I haven't found the bird's nest yet.
Maybe tomorrow.

  4. Love it --

and your comment about the bird's nest made me remember the Christmas when I was a girl that was bird's nest-themed. My mother went through a weird stage --

  11. Your tree looks wonderful. I love all the handmade ornaments.
When A and I decorate the tree, so many of the ornaments have significance and meaning; our first holiday together, vacations, symbols of special memories/moments.

  13. Yeah! Gorgeous tree.
Been able to catch up on your blog last night. The story of your friend in nursing school years ago and how Jessie happened to get to see her in CO was wonderful! Thanks for the link to her blog--we both have teen boys so I look forward to checking out her blog.
It ended up way too cloudy here to see any moon last night.

  14. Sitting here with a cup of tea, catching up, and smiling. You just make me smile... love the spanish moss with that light, that lovely morning sun shining through it, and the tiny frog (I couldn't squish him, either) and your tree with the deer heads peeking over the top like antlered Christmas angels... of course my favorite ornaments are those that the kids obviously made. We have them, too, painted popsicle sticks and santas with cottonball fluff on their hats and baker's clay ornaments... and they just bring back the best memories...

  17. Great ornaments! I think Santa in flannel shirt w/rifle may be my favorite. But then there are the kid's ornaments: family history on the tree. Nice.
