Here We Are

That's the view from our little rental house which is a little jewel and a gem and has decent kitchen stuff and plenty of room. After a long, hard day of packing and getting ready to hit the road, we made it just in time to stop by the Little Pig and get some things and arrive at the house, unload, and be on the beach by sunset.

I cannot believe how beautiful it is. I had forgotten how much I need the beach. As I type this, I am sitting on a porch, listening to the waves as they hit the shore, a slap and then a hiss. I am making our anniversary supper which is going to be hamburgers, oven-fried onion rings, and salt baked baby potatoes.

The Little Pig has everything you might need up to and including organic capers.
WHAT??!!
Indeed.

Remember when I was stressing out about packing and leaving Lloyd and all of that and said that I knew that there would be at least one moment when I was here when I would think, I never want to leave?
Already there.

Happy anniversary to us.

Of course there is a storm building up strength down near the Yucatan and heading north.
Oh well. This is life in Paradise.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. WOW, better than anything ever! I am so jealous of your holiday. Heaven! Love seeing the barefooted man in the sand. It must be warm? I wish you could stay until you are completely fed up with it.

  5. Happy anniversary! I hope you have a lovely time. I am a wee bit envious. We usually go to St George in April for my birthday and in September for our anniversary. This year we stayed 2 weeks in late March, early April and left just as things were beginning to shut down. Didn't go in September because the tropics were too damn active. So I'm missing it something awful right now. Those photos made my heart skip a beat. SO beautiful! Some of Ben's ashes are dancing for eternity in those waves and some are at the front entrance by the 3 palms and the little bench. I love that he is part of something so beautiful and keeps watch over the island until we can return again. It's a special place.

  19. the second wave is starting and in a pandemic it is usually the 2nd wave that kills the majority of people. You baby boomers are all going to die of corona-virus and finally the world will be able to make progress when you boomers are all dead
