Really, Owen?

So Small Dude arrived at five-fifty-five this morning and I was up and ready. I didn't sleep for shit for some reason but I feel surprisingly fine and Owen is feeling wiggly and cuddly and very, very active. I gave him a bottle in the bed, hoping he'd drift back to sleep but he had other plans which included flirting with his Pop-Pop and examining my face with his fingers like a blind person, exploring my mouth and nose and eyes along the way.

*************

In the midst of helping me write this, he started yawning and fussing so we went back to bed for round two of an attempt at sleep and he is there now, dreaming away, I suppose. And I suppose that I will join him because I am tired too and if there is one thing I learned as a mother, it is to sleep when you can and so good morning, Elvis is crowing, the sun is coming up and I am off to go back to bed where I will snuggle under the covers with the baby grandson and sleep until he determines it's time to get up.

  6. I think Owen needs to talk some sense into Mr. Farty, tell him 'look dude, naps are good. You should take one.'

Lulumarie- Lily and I joke that he has his daddy's eyebrows which means he has his daddy's eyeBROW and that he'll be waxing that bad boy before he gets to kindergarten.

DTG- Funny. That's mostly what happened around here. Kissi's.
