I Wish

I fucking HATE packing. When I pack I wish I was a sylph-like tiny thing who only needed one long silk shirt that could double as a dress, a pair of heels and a pair of size 00 jeans and it could all be packed in a baggie.

But I am not.

Off I go to pack and weep.

Happy Friday, y'all.
Love...Ms. Moon

  2. I hate it too, but it must be done. It will be worth it though. Thank you so much for the kind words you left on my blog yesterday! You are beautiful too Ms. Moon. Have a fun trip!

  5. Your black velvet overalls should be fine. Don't forget overalls were on the runway.

  6. I agree, it's when I realize that my wardrobe is missing key essentials, like a spring coat, or that in the bright light of the outside world, by jeans are seriously old.

I've made it a point the last few years to force myself to buy clothes. It makes such a difference. And it isn't always about the money. I convince myself of a hundred reasons not to and then have a tantrum when I'm asked to go along on a business trip or something and have to shop at the last minute, which is torture.

pack light and buy yourself some new things there :)

  7. Oh, I am green with envy (ok, and some morning sickeness) that you are going to New Orleans. It is my absolute favorite place in the world. I love the Place d'Armes hotel, I swear I could live on their croissants.
    Have fun!

  8. My problem is that we can't afford to go anywhere so packing is such a futile effort........Cause we just don't go anywhere. Have fun on your trip.

  9. Packing reduces me to angry tears and lots of pouting and stamping about. Tell me why it makes us so crazy.

Ms. Moon, I hope that you enjoy those crisp sheets and the music and please, eat some kind of croissant or other deliciousness for me.

My husband will be your way next week, kinda. Business in Orlando.

  11. Yes, packing's a pain in the arse. But there's also that lovely feeling of expectation - what the flippin' heck is going to happen on this latest adventure? And recently I've started thinking - and sorry about the melodramatics - that maybe it's on this trip that I'm going to die. And on the last trip I almost did! Maybe I should start packing a hard-hat...

  12. Nigel,
I dig you. We share a certain optimism. Laugh.

  13. I agree that packing is rough sometimes, but usually once I get where I'm going I find I packed too much "just in case" stuff and end up wearing only a little bit of what I stuffed in the case. That's just me. But, anyway, I hope you had better luck with that activity and I hope for you and Mr. Moon a memorable time, as good as the first time 'round in New Orleans. The driving there sounds like so much fun. Sometimes that's the best part, taking in the scenery along the way.

  14. Packing does suck but on the bright side you're not dragging along a three year old and twin one year olds with you. Double stroller, check. Single Stroller, check. Three car seats, check. Two portable pack n play cribs, check. Mountain of clothes for every possible season, diapers, bottles, blankets, loveys, activities and snacks for the journey, Check, check and check.

Enjoy your adventure and take many pictures along the way!
