I just have to do this.
Xbox4NappyRash is the blog of an Irish guy who lives in the Netherlands who has been writing for several years about the difficulties he and his wife have had in trying to conceive a baby. With great humor (often dark) and with only the subject matter of the pieces which must all come together to create life (no pun intended here), he has written honestly and painfully and beautifully about all of the months and years of high hopes and dashed dreams.
And the amazing thing to me is how deeply he has made me care about these struggles.
I've lit candles for these two people whom I've never met.
And yesterday he announced that the Intra-Uterine Insemination procedure which they did two or so weeks ago has worked.
The blog-world is so happy for them.
I am so happy for them.
Like I said, I do not know these people but I have the most powerful feeling that they are going to be World Class Parents and their baby is going to be one of the most loved and welcomed children on earth.

And tell him congratulations if you want to. Hell, he's already reeling, I'm sure. Let's just kick his daddy-to-be-ass out into the stratosphere.
