Proust is going to have to wait a lifetime of nights for me. It's all wine and old Project Runways for me over here. Your boys are the best. So are you.
I look at your trees and am glad that there are a few live oaks here and not all water oaks. Those boys are really something else--live oaks in their own right.
Sara- Yeah. I'm totally down with popular culture.
Birdie- They love it here so much.
SJ- Don't be mad. I did both.
lulumarie- Remember when he was just a little boy and tried to climb the fig tree?
Jill- Thanks, honey.
S. Jo- I slept like a dead woman.
Elizabeth- Oh hell no. I am not even pretending to read Proust. That was just the first High Brow author I could think of whom I WAS NOT GOING TO BE READING LAST NIGHT.
Nancy- True. Both!
Syd- Oh, we have our share of the live oaks. And two water oaks which really need to come down. And I think that yes, those boys will be like live oaks.

ReplyDeleteGibson, future gardener and dear sweet Owen in the tree - what a fun day you must have had. Now rest. You, like Proust, must have downtime. S Jo
ReplyDeleteOwen looks like a giant! That boy is growing! Is he going to be as tall as his Bop?
ReplyDeleteAs for Proust -- what the hell? Are you reading Proust? I might be the only person on the planet who despises him.
Little Owen, Big Tree - sounds like the title of a good book.
ReplyDeleteLittle Owen Big Tree - sounds like a native American name.
Either way, sounds great.

Ellen Abbott- Lord. Kids just can be wearying.
Aren't we the lucky ones...big yards for little boys.
ReplyDeleteAnd after a day of that there's only enough strength to read the label on Tequila bottle.
