Persevering

Well, it's Friday and we actually have plans to go out and therefore you KNOW that Lon and Lis are in town because it is highly doubtful that I'd be going anywhere except to go see them play.
Okay, maybe I'd leave Lloyd to go see the Rolling Stones but only if the venue didn't suck too much.

Mr. Moon and I are still rocking the virus although I do feel better than I did yesterday. I actually got quite a bit done this morning and felt cheerful and productive but as the afternoon wore on, I started feeling the fever returning. Levon's still running the fever, his stomach is messed up and he's coughing and snotty. And Maggie threw up last night and again this morning and had a little fever. She's going to get through it though, I think. Lily sent me this picture and even though a barf bag is involved, she doesn't look too miserable.

Lily said that she even threw up IN the barf bag, completely. None of my kids ever did anything like that but instead always seemed to time their puking bouts around me getting clean sheets back on the bed and clean jammies back on them. I am sure that every parent who has ever lived can relate to this.

It would appear that it's the beginning of the end ONCE AGAIN for Trump. Every day it's like, "Oh yeah. He's going to jail!" And then nothing happens except more illegal activities are unearthed.
Again, I know I'm not telling anyone here anything they don't already know.

Anyway, I need to go see if I can find my make-up. Of course I haven't touched it since I got home from Mexico.
Speaking of Mexico, I found this on FB today and immediately shared it and now I'm going to share it here because I think it's great on about fifty different levels.

Enjoy, y'all.

Happy Friday.

Love...Ms. Moon

    1. Isn't Wharton where you live, Ellen?! I thought we might see you on there!

    2. Hey- yeah. Don't you live in Wharton, Ellen?
In this case, we introduced at least one of the viruses to Jessie's family.
      Sigh...

  2. Occasionally I check out what Trump is tweeting. Just now he said, "I will be making a major announcement concerning the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 P.M., live from the @WhiteHouse."
I wonder if he is going to apologise for his spitefulness and foot-stomping attempt to get his own way? After all, he did say that Mexico was going to pay for the dumb wall. On reflection, I doubt that any kind of apology or retreat will be happening. It's not Trump's way. More likely he is about to declare a state of emergency to secure the necessary funds for his stupid fence (it's not really a wall).

    1. Nancy Pelosi called it a beaded curtain at this point.

    2. Well, whatever it is, wall or fence or beaded or gauze curtain, he's fixated on it like a kid wanting a new Nintendo. Or whatever it is that kids want these days. I'm even past the point of being embarrassed by him in the eyes of the world. Okay. Not really.

  3. I hope you have a ball tonight in your makeup and jewelry, and that Lis and Lon's music rocks the last vestiges of your unwell feeling away.

    1. I did wear my bangles! And dammit, yes, we are nursing this virus. It is sucking the life out of us for its own evil purposes. Good Lord! But going out did make me feel better at least for the time I was listening to music or being with Lis and Lon.

So. Did your students think that the D. should be impeached or was that not discussed?

  7. Glad you’re feeling better. Be vigilant before declaring victory over the virus, though. I wound up with pneumonia after being certain I was done with it all.

I keep getting thinking that the Cheese Doodle/Orange Baby’s increasing frenzy reflects a tightening noose. It can’t tighten quickly enough, though, given McConnell’s enabling of DJT. The Mitch is at least as big a problem as Cheese Doodle.

    1. I am under no illusions that this virus has packed its bags yet. It's still rifling through the refrigerator and throwing its dirty clothes all over the floor.
      I'm sorry you got pneumonia!
The US government is in the hands of a Cheeze Doodle, a Keebler Elf, and a bunch of other ridiculous varieties of old white men. It's unbelievable.

  9. Have fun with Lon and Lis! I know you will. It sounds like you're on the mend.

Now, what did that airline do with people who were 100 percent Mexican?! LOL

Sadly I apparently have no Mexican blood (according to my own recent DNA test). So I guess I have to suck it up and pay the full fare. Do you ever watch "The Romanoffs"? There's an episode that takes place in Mexico City and it looked WONDERFUL. Made me want to go!

I guess if you're 100 percent Mexican, you do fly free! How awesome would that be?
I have not watched that show but I hear that Mexico City is absolutely amazing. There are so many different areas of Mexico that I would love to visit. The vastness and differences in the country are mind-blowing.
