Overblessed

Well. I did it. I booked 'em, Danno.
I booked the tickets and I booked the room.
I was so scared to do it but Mr. Moon was way too busy with other things and he told me to just go ahead and be a big girl (okay, he didn't say that but that's what he meant) and DO IT!
So I did.
I hate buying airline tickets. The prices change every fucking day and there are fifteen screens of information to fill out and those of you who are sophisticated travelers will be laughing at me but I'm little country mouse here and anything involving money and credit cards and nonrefundable tickets makes me the fuck nervous.
Oh well. It's done.
We decided to get the place with the king-sized bed and the little kitchen. The picture up there is supposedly taken from the balcony of the room. If this is true, how badly can it suck?
And now I feel completely and utterly over-blessed. Here I am with this beautiful home and this beautiful family and friends and a garden and chickens and this man. This man.
And I get to go to Mexico, too.
Yep. We're really going.
I'm going to spend my birthday in Mexico.
I don't think I'm going to hate my birthday this year.
I don't think I'm going to hate it at all.

  2. Have a wonderful time in Mexico! I took my little Hope for the first time last year and she loved it. Belize is and will always be my favorite but that is because I love the people there, the beaches are not the best but the people make it. Hope liked the beaches best in Mexico. I hope you have the time of your life!

  4. Lunch Buckets- Nope. Not one damn thing.

Sarah- Funny- it's the people in Cozumel who make it so wonderful in my eyes.

Cozzie Laura- Hah! I see from your blog that you have lived in Cozumel for twelve years! That is where we are going, indeed.

    Mwa- Thank-you!

  7. You are most definitely overblessed, AND you deserve it!

And you ARE a big girl for doing all that big girl decision making and booking and and and... that stuff makes me crazy too. Like if I do it wrong, the damn sky will fall. So I empathize totally.

Enjoy each and every magickal, joyful, blessed moment.

  8. Yay, mama! What are the to and from dates? Okay, all you Ms. Moon fans, envy my sisters and I - we get to play Lords and Ladies of Moon Manor when the folks go out of town. All of the fun (playing with chickens, sitting on the back porch reading a few of the dozens of magazines that mama gets, doing all our laundry) and none of the hassle (taxes, taking the dogs to the vet).

  11. Look at that beautiful ocean! I live too damn far from an ocean up here!

  12. Michelle- Me too! I think this is going to be a lovely place to stay on the lovely island of Cozumel.

Ms. Bastard- And the crazy thing is- the water is even more beautiful than that. HOW CAN THAT BE????

Petit Fleur- I know. I feel like the entire airline industry will get fucked up somehow if I don't get all that information right. Not to mention if I book us for flights with fourteen hour layovers in Mexico City by mistake. That would suck.

DTG- 7/23 through 8/1. Y'all duke it out to be Lords and Ladies of the Manor. Or at least protectors of the cracker shack.

Kori- Work it out with the rest of the kids. Fine with me.

Cozzie Laura- I will indeed do that! Very cool.

Ginger- The one thing I learned in Denver is that I cannot ever live where I can't get to an ocean when I need to. In an hour or under.

XBox- Now wouldn't that have been more fun that IUI?
    I tried to tell you....
