My Grandsons Are Coming.

Mr. Moon is on his way across the bay to pick up Lily and Jason and the boys to bring them over and they've never been here, those boys, not even Owen and I worry. I worry too much. Jessie has come down with the Asheville cold that Vergil already has and that big bay! And my tiny boys.
Well. Lily is determined.
The men and Jessie went fishing yesterday afternoon and caught grouper and we had a feast last night of fish and also salad from Julia and Jessie's gardens and sweet potatoes and homemade bread. We sat on the porch to eat and it was as fine as it could be.
I hear the wind whistling through dunes and pines. I hear the osprey calling.

  6. Don't worry Mary... I am sure that your daughter will keep her distance from the baby since you raised her. And in our modern times we often forget that kids only build strength and resistance by being exposed to bad germs - In a moderate way obviously... Don't think that I advocate to give babies colds... Maybe you ghosts will vanish as you build up lovely memories with the boys there on Dog Island...

  8. Do you have a hidey-hole on that little island? One you can escape to with a tall cold one and a book? Just wondering. I love you.
