I am the worst joke rememberer ever.
Probably not the correct English word.
12 years ago someone gave us a decorative miniature shamrock plant (not the real thing) for St Patrick's day and I stupidly planted it out. It is the worst invasive plant with long long long roots that reach everywhere. Maybe it's not even a plant but the evil curse I deserve. I could go out in the garden any time during the year and pull up handfuls of it. I mean, I do, racked by guilt and all, but this thing, this 'plant' has won this war a long time ago.
Sabinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09015827501648296977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2086296370004835655.post-73183865013077495732017-03-04T12:42:46.288-05:002017-03-04T12:42:46.288-05:00I am the worst joke-teller in the world. So I will spare you.

We had that mondo grass (that's what we called it, I'm not sure why) in front of our house in Florida, and yes, it took over. I bet it is classed as an invasive species!Steve Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11684120060438252945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2086296370004835655.post-78972393821108267522017-03-04T09:46:55.909-05:002017-03-04T09:46:55.909-05:00I did nothing yesterday, completely unmotivated. ...I did nothing yesterday, completely unmotivated. I went to the grocery store for four items, mainly dog food. If I hadn't needed dog food I wouldn't have gone. I did go over and check the gardens. tested a few holes to see why the rest of my potatoes hadn't come up. 3 out of 4 were mushy lumps and the 4th wasn't to be found at all. so I guess all that are coming up have. I have 12 tomatoes plants that I put in weeks ago. well, I did make stuffed bell peppers and de-boned a chicken if that counts for activity.ellen abbotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00535475792150335186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2086296370004835655.post-40362275688801844442017-03-04T04:17:51.729-05:002017-03-04T04:17:51.729-05:00Maybe you could move the roses instead?! Hateful stuff.
I'm currently listening to Call the Midwife on audio book. Makes me grateful to live today as a woman. We have come so far. The journey will never be over but I am proud of the women that went before us.
Whenever you talk about Owen and his seizures I think of Lily. When my daughter was diagnosed with NF something inside of me died. My belief that God cared about us for starters. Lily must be so worried and scared. That's our lot as mothers. Our hearts must break a little.
I have no dirty jokes. I wifi did. They only joke I can ever remember is a horse walks into a bar. The bartender. "Why the long face?" I still laugh when I hear that one. I have my own endless pests, Virginia creeper that strangles things overnight and one entirely my fault. I bought a clerodendrum species mail order from Logee's. Within weeks it was coming up all over. Yanked it all up but it spread to a few neighbors and back to my yard. Never ending yanking for the last ten years. Guess it was ok in Connecticut but not so much South Florida. Glad Owen had a good day.
Xoxo
Barbara Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2086296370004835655.post-58340889186429679082017-03-03T20:06:36.114-05:002017-03-03T20:06:36.114-05:00Your border grass sounds horrible..... we have bin...Your border grass sounds horrible..... we have bindweed, which is as invasive, horrible, and I've been trying to eradicate it for 20 years with no visible success! Tortilla Curtain is high on my list of favorites, although it devastated my soul at times.
After 4 months of cold weather and rain (yes, in Calif).......yesterday seemed to be spring with warm temps and I am so overwhelmed looking at my yard that I don't know where to begin. That was my day....... but a good one
Susan MAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
