We did that accidentally - wanted to go out to see something outside town and got one of those vintage taxis, and the next thing I knew we'd spent much of the day together and plans for the next. I was lucky that I was traveling with a friends whose first language is Spanish. The funny thing about that was though, sometimes I would have to translate for him. I'd have to translate communism or some other such worldview for him, or the sexual slang, that kind of thing. And he wanted nothing to do with the Santeria priestesses I spent time with. He was very troubled by all the prostitutes who approached him when not with me; he is a very gentle soul and the thought that somebody would offer commercial sex to him was very upsetting, but sometimes he had good conversations with them. Not judging, just not understanding.

i understand the wealth of stories, oh, I do. And I miss the coffee!

Thanks for sharing.NOLAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05572754078356812922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2086296370004835655.post-74299841651551693872016-07-02T15:09:31.509-04:002016-07-02T15:09:31.509-04:00So wonderful.
